Important Notes

Fixed Issues

1. Fixed an issue preventing folder deletion when Recycle Bin has been enabled.
2. Fixed an issue where saving files using certain applications could unexpectedly create extra folders when Recycle Bin has been enabled.
3. Fixed an issue where permissions settings could be overwritten when configuring domains or LDAP servers interactively across multiple NAS.
4. Fixed an issue where shared folders could become unusable due to an abnormal system shutdown.

What's New

1. Optimized upload processes now allow for faster uploading of multiple files under 3MB each.
2. Updated the global file locking function's default scope from "Apply to all applications" to "Apply to specific applications: Microsoft Office & AutoCAD".
3. Enhanced data resync mechanisms to support normal upload and download activities during the resync phase following an abnormal system shutdown.
4. Revised file conflict handling to save only the newest file version during unstable network conditions instead of all conflicting versions.

1. Fixed an issue leading to configuration file corruption and sync failures caused by abnormal shutdowns.
2. Fixed an issue that caused incorrect calculation of version sizes for Hybrid Share folders configured as Synology Drive Team folders.
3. Improved the retry mechanism for global file locking to accelerate file access.
4. Fixed an issue where converting a shared folder to a Hybrid Share folder could possibly result in slow or failed conversions under certain conditions.
5. Fixed an issue that caused mounting failures due to incorrect IP address resolutions from DNS servers when connecting to the C2 server.
6. Updated the file pinning mechanism in multi-NAS environments to automatically store pinned subdirectories and files locally.
7. Fixed an issue preventing Hybrid Share package activation due to timeouts caused by shared folders containing more than 10 million files.
8. Fixed an issue preventing system shutdowns due to failed package deactivation.
9. Fixed an issue where Hybrid Share folders mounted on multiple NAS devices might appear deactivated when the DSM Control Panel was accessed simultaneously by different users.
10. Resolved a temporary disruption of file uploads and downloads during snapshot restoration.
11. Minor bug fixes.

Important Notes

1. After the update, any Synology NAS with the same Hybrid Share folder mounted will synchronize only domain user privileges. To ensure seamless synchronization, consider updating the package on all mounted NAS clients to version 1.4.1.

What's New

1. Supports global file locking for all applications over SMB and NFS protocols.
2. Supports viewing file transfer logs in the C2 Storage web portal.
3. Supports powerful file management operations in the C2 Storage Explorer, including copy and move, drag and drop, and keyboard shortcuts

Important Notes

1. After installing this update, global file locking and file transfer logs will be enabled by default.
2. After installing this update, all NAS devices that have mounted the same Hybrid Share folder will share the same file-level ACL permissions within the folder.

1. Fixed an issue where normal users are unable to access Microsoft Office files in SMB.
2. Fixed an issue where mounting a Hybrid Share folder might fail while restoring DSM backup configuration.

Compatibility and Installation

1. Hybrid Share is compatible with DSM 7.0.1 and above.
2. Available on Synology NAS models that support the Btrfs file system and have 2 GB of memory.
3. Requires a Synology Account with a subscription to the C2 Storage - Advanced Plan.

Limitations

1. The same Hybrid Share folder can be mounted on up to five Synology NAS devices concurrently.
2. Hybrid Share folders cannot be mounted on a high-availability cluster created with two different Synology NAS models.
3. CIFS/NFS remote folders cannot be mounted in a Hybrid Share folder.
4. When connecting multiple Synology NAS to the same Hybrid Share folder, join these devices to the same domain or LDAP to synchronize file permissions.
5. Hybrid Share folders cannot be set as sync folders in Synology Drive ShareSync.
6. Hybrid Share is not supported in China.

1. Supports the snapshot feature in C2 Storage for scheduled and manual snapshots, and folder restoration to specific versions.
2. Increased the number of Hybrid Share folders that can be mounted on a Synology NAS.
