Compatibility and Installation

  1. Updated to be compatible with DSM 7.1 Beta.
  2. Synology Chat will perform database optimization during the update. The time it takes to update depends on the number of channels created. Please reserve 20 minutes for this update to avoid disruption for users.

What's New

  1. Added the Find function (hotkey: Ctrl+K) for looking up conversations and channels while unread messages are displayed at the top.
  2. Supports grouping unread messages at the top.
  3. Improved the time it takes to back up Synology Chat using Hyper Backup.
  4. Added a quick markdown syntax guide to the message input field.

  1. Added the option to allow the modification of all messages or only messages sent within the last 24 hours, or disallow the modification of any messages. The default will be set to "Sent in the last 24 hours" after updating to this version.
  2. Supports automatically adding users from account systems into Synology Chat immediately after the users are given privileges.

Synology Chat Admin Console
  1. Added the option to allow the modification of all messages or only messages sent within the last 24 hours, or disallow the modification of any messages. The default will be set to "Sent in the last 24 hours" after updating to this version.
  2. Supports automatically adding users from account systems into Synology Chat. Enabling this option allows all users to see news users in the user list of Chat immediately after they are given privileges.
  3. Support forcing domain users to use full name from the domain as nickname. Enabling this option, domain users will not be able to change the settings for display name.
