Synology® Releases December Value Applications Update with Five New Applications

Taipei, Taiwan— December 18, 2009—Synology® Inc. today announced that its Disk Station lineup works with five new open source PHP applications, expanding the number of verified applications to twenty-three in total. The five new value applications are MediaWiki 1.15.1, MyBB 1.4.10, OpenCart 1.3.4, Serendipity 1.5-beta1, and Zimplit 3.0. All of the above applications have successfully passed a series of tests in the Synology laboratory and have been proven to be compatible with the newly released firmware, Disk Station Manager 2.2-0959.

MediaWiki 1.15.1 – MediaWiki is a free software wiki package.

MyBB 1.4.10 – MyBB is an online bulletin board system.

OpenCart 1.3.4 – OpenCart is a web-based e-commerce solution.

Serendipity 1.5-beta1 – Serendipity is an open source blog system.

Zimplit 3.0 – Zimplit is a content management system built with PHP.
