Synology® Stated Disk Unresponsiveness of Intel SSD D3-S4510 and Intel D3-S4610 Series 1.92 TB and 3.84 TB Drives

Taipei, Taiwan—June 17, 2019—Synology Inc. was notified by Intel that Intel SSD D3-4510 and Intel SSD D3-4610 series drives in the 1.92 TB and 3.84 TB capacities may experience the NAND "channel hang" caused by approximately 1,700 hours of cumulative idle power-on time.

For Synology NAS equipped with the above stated SSDs, it is recommended to conduct data backup to prevent data loss. To learn more details about how to resolve this issue, please refer to the FAQ below.
