Join Synology® at CeBIT 2015

Taipei, Taiwan (February 10th, 2015) - Synology® Inc. today announced participation in CeBIT 2015 from 16th to 20th March 2015 in Hannover Germany. You are cordially invited to visit the booth at Stand B51, Hall 2. Synology will introduce an entirely new line of products, and present the beta version of DiskStation Manager (DSM) 5.2, the latest operating system for Synology NAS servers.

“2015 will be an exciting year,” said Vic Hsu, Managing Director of Synology’s GmbH, “We are going to introduce advanced high availability mechanisms for enterprises, a unique and full-featured Wi-Fi router for power users, and smart surveillance for the Internet of things.”

Aimed at enterprises and data centers in need of vast, scalable storage capacity and high availability, Synology’s new active/passive failover cluster will be showcased to demonstrate how modern businesses can quickly back up and manage a petabyte of data, as well as ensure business continuity.

Synology will introduce for the first time its networking product line, beginning with a unique and versatile Wi-Fi router. Providing dazzling speed of up to 1.9Gbps, optimized coverage, and an intuitive interface, the Synology Router aims at democratizing networking. Beamforming, DNS-based web-filter, and advanced QoS prioritization will be accessible in a few clicks. In addition, exclusive Synology’s add-ons, including Photo\Video\Audio\Download Stations, VPN\DNS\Radius Servers, will help users build their own cloud right from the router.

Surveillance Station 7.0 provides a multitasking and easy-to-use interface. Prominent features, such as support for physical door controller, efficient task automation, 64 channels of live view in HD, and Central Management System, will be demonstrated.

DSM 5.2 beta brings exciting features for all users. The lightweight virtualization package Docker is aimed at creating, managing, and shipping server applications in a few clicks. DSM can now work as a Single Sign-On (SSO) server, facilitating access management for users. In addition, the new Backup File Browser and smart rotation reduce storage consumption while provide greater flexibility for point-in-time recovery. Smoother and secure file syncing can now be achieved with smart polling feature and encryption. Note Station can serve as a web clipper and task management software, helping users to get organized.

All showcased Synology NAS servers will be equipped with Seagate’s latest hard drive series: Seagate Enterprise Capacity SAS, Seagate Enterprise NAS HDD,Seagate NAS HDD and Seagate Surveillance HDD.
