Release Notes for exFAT Access

Microsoft exFAT (Extended File Allocation Table) technologie is een voor flashopslagapparaten geoptimaliseerd bestandssysteem. Door exFAT te installeren hebt u toegang tot externe opslagapparaten met als exFAT geformatteerd bestandssysteem op uw NAS. In tegenstelling tot FAT32 ondersteunt exFAT enkele bestanden groter dan 4GB en kan het zowel op Windows- en Mac-besturingssystemen worden gebruikt. Als antwoord op de aankondiging door Microsoft om exFAT te integreren in Linux kernel in 2019, kunnen Synology-gebruikers gratis exFAT installeren door een update naar DSM 7.0 of hoger uit te voeren.
