Moodle es un Sistema de gestión de cursos (CMS), también conocido como Sistema de gestión de aprendizaje (LMS) o Entorno de aprendizaje virtual (VLE). Se trata de una aplicación web gratuita para crear y mantener sitios de aprendizaje online. Los educadores pueden usar los módulos de actividad (como foros, bases de datos y wikis) para crear comunidades de aprendizaje ampliamente colaborativas o bien usar Moodle como una forma de entregar contenido a los alumnos (como paquetes SCORM estándar).
