Synology® and IQinVision® Forge Alliance to Expand Surveillance Support
Taipei, Taiwan— January 13, 2011— Synology® Inc., a developer of professional IP-based video surveillance solutions which combine the functionality of advanced network attached storage (NAS) and network video recording (NVR), today announced a new partnership with IQinVision® to support IQeye cameras, offering users more intelligent options in managing their video surveillance system.
Synology surveillance solutions can be scaled effortlessly, both in storage space and in the size of the surveillance network. Synology also provides periodic complimentary OS updates to enhance the functionality and improve management. In addition, Surveillance Station allows users to view live feeds of up to 36 channels at once, record events remotely and aggregate multiple cameras into a single intuitive interface. Currently Surveillance Station supports over 700 leading IP camera models, including more than 40 IQeye camera models. Synology has conducted tests to ensure optimal performance of IQeye cameras on Synology DiskStation.
“We are delighted to partner with IQinVision to deliver a reliable NVR solution,” said Peter Chen, product manager of Synology Inc. “Our partnership leverages Synology's expertise in storage and surveillance and IQinVision's strength in high-quality image recording to offer users a solid surveillance system.” added Chen.
“The smaller system market has responded well to our aggressive pricing on standard and HD IQeye cameras so we are pleased to add Synology to our fast-growing list of NVR partners. They offer attractively priced appliances and intuitive software and are well positioned to compete in this high volume segment,” commented Paul Bodell, Executive Vice President, Global Business Development at IQinVision.
