Synology^® Announces New Performance Evaluation Site

Bellevue, Wa—25 October, 2023—Synology today launched its overhauled performance statistics web page, featuring notable enhancements such as more practical benchmarks and a revamped interface. This new page empowers people to quickly identify, compare, and find the right Synology solutions for their specific needs.

"In collaboration with our sales teams and partners, we developed simpler and more accurate sizing tools that can better align expectations without requiring extensive proof-of-concept trials."

To assist Synology partners and prospective customers, the new web page incorporates performance benchmarks for common storage protocols: SMB, iSCSI, and NFS. Notably, the addition of a new benchmark designed to measure latency at 80% of the peak IOPS over iSCSI and NFS lets IT admins accurately gauge latency-sensitive workloads.

Additional tests spanning Synology solution suites, including MailPlus, Office, and Surveillance Station, ensure that customers receive a comprehensive view of the capabilities supported by each model.

With user-friendly filtering options and regular updates planned based on new software releases, the web page is set to become an instrumental tool in streamlining customer evaluation processes.
