Synology^® Releases November Peripherals Update with Four Newly Supported Hard Drives

Taipei, Taiwan— November 5, 2009—Synology^® Inc. today announced the compatibility of its Disk Station with two Seagate 3.5" hard drives, including ST31500541AS (1.5TB) and ST3500418AS (500GB), Hitachi 3.5" hard drive HDS722020ALA330 (2TB), and Western Digital 2.5" hard drive WD 7500KEVT-00A28T0 (750GB). All of the above models have successfully passed a series of stress and compatibility tests in the Synology laboratory and have been proven to be compatible with applicable Disk Station models.

The 2.5" hard drive is compatible with DS409+, DS409, DS409slim, DS209+II, DS209+, DS209, DS209j, DS109+, DS109 and DS109j. All three 3.5" hard drives are compatible with Synology Disk Station of x09, x08 and x07 series.
