Synology ChatPlus & Meet License Packs bring advanced capabilities such as role-based access control and enhanced security, helpng safeguard enterprise communication data while ensuring it stays fully within your own Synology environment.

Licensing plan

Synology ChatPlus & Meet are currently in beta, offering a 180-day free trial upon activation, available only during the beta period.

Once the 180-day trial ends, upgrade to the official version to continue using the free features, including core messaging, meetings, and basic administration.

Advanced features, such as role-based access control and enhanced security, require a License Pack. License Packs will be available with the official release and provide perpetual access to these advanced features once activated.

How to purchase

During the beta period, activate your 180-day free trial directly through the Synology ChatPlus Admin Console > License Management. No purchase required.

After the official release, licenses will be available through authorized Synology Partners. Pricing details will be announced at that time.

License activation and management

During the beta period, you can activate the trial license in Synology ChatPlus Admin Console > License Management.

After the official release, licenses will be available for purchase and activation through authorized Synology Partners.

Once activated, the license status will be reflected in both your Synology Account and the License Management tab of the ChatPlus Admin Console. Licenses are non-refundable once activated.

High availability solutions

Synology ChatPlus & Meet support Synology High Availability at no additional cost. When configuring Synology High Availability for Synology ChatPlus & Meet, assign licenses to only one Synology device before creating the high-availability cluster to avoid license conflicts between the two devices.

Virtual machine solutions

Synology ChatPlus can't be installed on virtual machines.

License lifecycle

Licenses are perpetual. Sign in to your Synology Account to view your current licenses.

Synology ChatPlus & Meet License Packs do not support migrating licenses to another Synology Account or device.

Where can I see my activated ChatPlus & Meet licenses?

Sign in to your Synology Account for an overview of your ChatPlus & Meet licenses. The licenses will also show in Synology ChatPlus Admin Console > License Management.

What happens to my licenses if my Synology device goes down?

Your license data is stored by Synology. Once the device is running again, sign in to the Synology Account associated with the Synology ChatPlus & Meet License Pack to restore your license data.

What should I do if I want to switch the associated Synology Account or Synology device?

Contact your Synology Partner to revoke the old license and activate a new license for the new Synology Account. Before your partner activates the license in the Partner Portal, sign in to the target Synology device with the new Synology Account.
