Synology® introduces RackStation RS826RP+ and RS826+
Taipei, Taiwan—August 12, 2026—Synology today announced the availability of the RS826RP+ and RS826+, compact 1U 4-bay rackmount storage systems designed to help small and medium-sized businesses efficiently manage and protect data across edge and remote environments.
"RS826RP+ and RS826+ deliver dependable performance and flexible scalability in a compact form factor, making them ideal for branch offices and distributed deployments," said Susan Yen, Product Manager at Synology. "With support for network upgrades, SSD caching, and storage expansion up to 8 bays, these systems give businesses the flexibility to speeds up file access and streamlines collaboration, helping teams work more productively."
Powerful without compromise
Powered by a 4-core AMD Ryzen™ V1500B processor, the systems deliver sequential read/write speeds of over 2,000/1,300 MB/s,1 helping teams accelerate file sharing, synchronization, and backup tasks across branch offices and remote sites. Four built-in 1GbE ports and a PCIe 3.0 expansion slot provide flexible networking options with support for 10/25GbE connectivity, while dual Synology M.2 SSDs via an adapter card can enable SSD caching to reduce latency.2
Designed with scalability and reliability in mind, the RS826RP+ and RS826+ can expand from 4 to up to 8 drive bays with the new Synology RX426 expansion unit. For maximum uptime, dual power supplies provide power redundancy in the RS826RP+, while hot-swappable drive trays and online volume management allow servicing without interrupting operation across both models.
Versatile Features for Business Workloads
Powered by Synology's DiskStation Manager (DSM), the RS826RP+ and RS826+ provide a wide range of integrated tools for modern business environments.
Synology Drive transforms the system into a private cloud, enabling cross-platform access and site-to-site syncing for distributed teams.
Synology Virtual Machine Manager and Container Manager provide VM storage, backup, and hosting, fully certified for VMware®, Hyper-V®, Citrix®, and OpenStack, and enable lightweight VMs or containers for testing, sandboxing, and emergency recovery.
Synology Tiering improves storage efficiency by automatically moving infrequently accessed data between performance and capacity tiers, helping organizations optimize storage costs.
