Synology launches RS6426xs+ Rackstation

Taipei, Taiwan — June 10, 2026 — Synology today announced the availability of the RS6426xs+, the next-generation model built to help growing organizations centralize data and support a wide range of business workloads. This system is ideal for high-performance file sharing, multi-site synchronization, and other business and enterprise applications.

High-performance enterprise storage built for reliability and security

The RS6426xs+ provides higher performance ceilings for modern enterprise workloads, featuring superior write I/O responsiveness that reaches up to 165,000 4K random write IOPS¹ and 6,700/4,300 MB/s sequential read/write throughput. This 16-bay 3U rack-mounted system supports petabyte-class scalability, allowing it to expand to 1,536 TB of raw storage² via four RX1225RP³ expansion units. It features two integrated 10GbE RJ45 ports and support additional 10/25GbE NICs and Fibre Channel connectivity for dedicated block storage applications.

To ensure high availability, RS6426xs+ is built with hardware redundancy, including dual power supplies and support for Synology High Availability (SHA) for minute-level failover. Maintenance is streamlined through hot-swappable drives and online volume expansion, while out-of-band (OOB) management allows administrators to troubleshoot systems remotely, even when powered down.
