With SMI-S Provider installed, your Synology NAS will be capable of meeting the industrial standard for storage management, SMI-S. The optimization with Microsoft's System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) allows an IT administrator to manage multiple Synology NAS servers as storage nodes via SCVMM's centralized user interface.
