Release Notes for Data Replicator

Windows® users can use the Synology Data Replicator 3 to back up their desktop data, Outlook®, and Outlook Express® emails to their Synology DiskStation with the flexibility of three backup modes: Immediate, Sync, and Scheduled.

Note: Data Replicator has reached the end of its life span and its download links have been removed from the utilities page for newer products in Download Center. We encourage you to use Cloud Station to back up the data on your PC or mobile device. You can find more detailed information about how to use Cloud Station as your backup companion in this article. Known Issues for all versions

  1. This software is applicable only to Windows XP or later versions.
  2. In Office 2013, IMAP mail will be saved as .ost files on your local PC and shall not be backed up by Data Replicator 3. According to Microsoft, .ost files for IMAP are duplicated from the Exchange server; therefore backing them up from your local PC is unnecessary.
