Release Notes for Archiware P5

The professional data management suite Archiware P5 offers modules to manage data at any point in its life cycle: P5 Synchronize replicates data for immediate availability. P5 Backup creates security copies for easy restore. P5 Archive migrates data to disk or tape for long-term storage and provides a searchable catalogue including metadata and previews. Modules can be combined freely to achieve maximum security. Archiware P5 runs on Mac, Windows,Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris and is compatible with virtually any tape and disk storage hardware.

  1. Fixed mail re-send logic to regenerate temporary files after each try. Also fixed awmail to correctly generate sub-second unique message IDs (Bug#945).
  2. Fixed recognition of filesystem volumes located deeper in the directory structure (Bug#954).
  3. Added new CLI command [RestoreSelection size] which returns total size in bytes of all files in the selection object (FR#950).
  4. Declared CLI [ArchiveSelection size] deprecated, use [ArchiveSelection entries] instead.
  5. Improved CLI selection handling to allow multiple parallel selections open at any time.
  6. Fixed typo in this file for 5.6.2 release that references ns_section commands (Bug#946).
  7. Removed drive-type check for LTFS (Bug#953).
