Events

This tab displays a list of system events and their corresponding severity levels. Each of the events has its own default message, but you may change it to suit your needs. If you later decide to discard the customized messages, you can restore the default messages.

Edit Notification Variables

Variables are string segments that include "%", such as %HOSTNAME%. We recommend retaining variables in both the subject and the body. Variables will be replaced with actual system information when a notification is sent.

To edit variables:

  1. Select an event and click Edit Variables.
  2. In the window that appears, modify the variables.
  3. Modifications made will be applied to all notification messages sent out.

The following table lists all available variables that can be used in your notification messages. Please note that you can only modify the variables that appear in the Edit Variables window.
