• Not all of the features of DSM 3.2 are available to all models due to hardware limitation; please see below for more information. If you would like to experience the full potential of DSM 3.2 or the future coming release of the DSM operating system, please consider upgrading the DiskStation to a newer model.

New Features

1. Directory Server: Directory Server is now available as a package without additional cost, providing an integrated account management service for DiskStations, Linux, and Mac clients.
2. LDAP Client: LDAP client is now built in DSM to help IT personnel integrate LDAP users and groups without manually recreating user accounts all over again.
3. Remote Folder: Remote Folder is now added to centralize many distributed CIFS file shares in your local network, that will help you navigate the network shares without having to know the physical server names or shared folders hosting the data.
4. Virtual Drive: Virtual Drive is now newly added to help you mount ISO files from your hard disk or from a remote server and used in the same manner as placing them into a physical CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive.
5. Syslog Server:
   • Syslog Server is now available as a package, which offers a centralized log management solution for storing all your logs from different servers/switches/routers or any syslog-enabled device over the network
   • Email notification system will keep you on track of all your servers’ status regardless of where you are.
6. Mac OS X Lion Support:
   • The Netatalk package has been upgraded to 2.2 to enhance the compatibility with Mac file service (AFP) in the latest Mac OS X Lion.
   • Time Machine in Mac OS X Lion is tested and proven to be compatible.
7. Photo Station 5:
   • The new Photo Station is redesigned to provide an easy-to-use and elegant user interface.
   • The new photo upload wizard has been reinvented to provide the option to create thumbnails which makes it even faster to display the uploaded pictures on Photo Station.
   • Facebook is now integrated to make it easier to share photos with your favorite social network website. One-way album synchronization is provided for you to upload photos from Photo Station to Facebook automatically.
   • Pixlr and Picnik are now integrated, which are powerful online image service that will enable admin to directly edit the pictures from the DiskStation on the fly without installing additional software.
   • Password protected album is now supported to help you share private albums with your friends more efficient without creating new accounts for them.
   • Personalized theme is available for you to customize your favorite theme.
   • Full-screen mode is now available in slideshow with brand new interface.
   • The user account in Photo Station can now be either set to synchronize with DSM’s or to the existing embedded Photo Station user accounts.
   • The blog editor now supports Google Chrome and comes with more features.
8. Google Cloud Print: Google Cloud Print service is now supported to help you print to your home/office printers from any computer or smartphone without driver installation, regardless of where you are. For the complete list of supported printers, please see here.
9. UPnP Router Support:
   • Automatic router discovery is now supported in EZ-Internet with UPnP-enabled routers, with just one-click to set up your router.
   • More than 58 routers from ASUS, Belkin, Cisco, TP-Link, SITECOM, and other brands are now supported. For the complete list of supported routers, please see here.
10. DSM mobile:
    • DSM mobile, a dedicated Web-App for iOS and Android devices, is now introduced to provide easy DiskStation management from mobile devices.
    • You can now easily add and edit users, groups, shared folders or even access privileges right from your mobile device.
    • It is fast and intuitive to enable or disable services, view system information and monitor resource with DSM mobile using mobile devices.
11. CalDAV Server: CalDAV is now supported to turn your DiskStation into a calendar server. All your CalDAV clients, including iCal in Mac OS X, iPhone, iPad, or Mozilla Sunbird will be synchronized without efforts.
12. Package Center:
    • The brand new Package Center is a centralized place where you can find and install useful packages for your DiskStation.
    • Email notification is available as an option for new package updates.
    • The new visual style and improved user interface makes it simple and easy to identify, install and check updates online.
13. Download Station Enhancements:
    • More file sharing and online video services with free or premium accounts are now supported, the supported services can also be manually updated online.
    • Download Station now supports drag-n-drop for uploading BT from Windows desktop.
    • BT now support single-port forwarding.
14. Audio Station Enhancements:
    • FLAC music streaming is now possible with Airplay speakers.
    • A switch is now added to help you enable/disable auto UPnP renderer discovery for better performance in Audio Station.
15. File Browser Enhancements:
    • Now you may upload files to DiskStation by simply drag-n-drop the selected files from Windows/Mac/Linux Desktop to File Browser.
    • Pixlr Editor, Express, and Picnik are now integrated, which are powerful online image service that will enable you to directly edit the pictures from your DiskStation on the fly without installing additional software.
    • You may now preview your favorite movies in the preferred aspect ratio.
16. Surveillance Station 5 Enhancements:
    • Safari 5.1 (32-bit) in Mac OS is now supported in Surveillance Station, Mac users can now enjoy using Surveillance Station with same experience as of Windows environment.
    • All features can now work seamlessly across Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox on Windows.
    • More than 90 IP camera models from Canon, Basler, Sony, Vivotek, Zavio, Hunt, Alinking, FlexWatch, Intellinet, InStar, Foscam, SMC, and Brickcom are newly supported. For the complete list of supported cameras, please see here.
    • The compatibility with ONVIF cameras from Sony, Axis, Vivotek, Panasonic, Hikvision and Lilin are now greatly enhanced.
    • 49 channels live view is now available for monitoring more cameras at once.
    • SMS/Email notification can now be scheduled by individual camera or event type simultaneously.
    • Camera Group is now added to help IT personnel efficiently apply settings to live view, event playback, or privileges in a large camera deployment.
    • Settings for multiple cameras with the same model can now be adjusted all at once using batch editing function; this is useful in a large camera deployment.
    • Privilege profile function is now added to help IT personnel quickly assign or modify multiple users’ camera privileges.
    • Surveillance Station can now conduct motion detection with MPEG4 and H.264 as well, you no longer need a camera with the built-in motion detection feature.
    • Single camera stream is now supported to reduce required bandwidth by half, freeing resource to other network applications and reduce camera loading for improved system stability.
    • Cameras of all codec types (MJPEG/MPEG4/H.264) can now use the same default DSM port 5000, simplifying the setup process for remote monitoring.
17. iPhone/iPad App:
    • DS photo+ is now enhanced with multiple photos upload feature and the support of password protected album. Video streaming is also supported on Apple TV via AirPlay.
    • DS audio is now enhanced with Internet radio feature.
    • DS cam is now enhanced with the ability to live view single camera in MPEG4 and H.264 codec.
18. Android App:
    • A new Android app, DS finder, will soon available for free download. DS finder helps you to easily monitor the status of your DiskStation while you are on the go, you can even start up the DiskStation remotely. MIS can also use it for locating the DiskStation in the massive server room with the built-in buzzer; In case of troubleshooting, MIS may also email out the DiskStation’s network/storage info directly from their Android phones.
    • DS cam is now enhanced with the ability to live view single camera in MPEG4 and H.264 codec.
    • DS audio is now enhanced with Internet radio feature.
19. Media Server Enhancements:
    • You may now view the current thumbnail creation progress in control panel, and able to set the quality of thumbnails or even pause it for up to 6 hours and resume it later automatically.
    • Customized indexed folder is now supported to help you select which folders also containing multimedia to be indexed in media server.
    • You can now choose a device profile for your DLNA device to enhance the compatibility with your DiskStation.

20. Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR) Enhancements: SHR volume can now be ready to use within minutes upon creation, 95% faster comparing to traditional SHR volume creation.

New Feature Highlights

1. Cloud Station beta (Available in Package Center)

   • Cloud Station is a free package which offers a file-syncing solution on multiple computers that lets you bring your docs and multimedia anywhere and backup them easily.
   • 32 historical file versions are available for each synced file which helps you backup your important files automatically.
   • Recycle bin stored the deleted files for later retrieve if necessary.
   • Privilege control allows the selected users to use Cloud Station to control your network bandwidth.
   • Cloud Station client is now available on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, helping you to sync data between your computers and Synology DiskStation via the IP address or ezCloud ID.

2. ezCloud Service:

   • ezCloud is a cloud service offering QuickConnect, DDNS, MyDS Center, and Push Notification to help you setup/access/manage Synology DiskStation easily.
   • QuickConnect offers ezCloud ID which allows you to connect your Synology DiskStation using Cloud Station client or DS file without setting up port forwarding rules on your router.
   • Customized ezCloud ID allows you to create your own ezCloud identity.
   • DDNS service is free and now provided by Synology offering you the flexibility to customize your own domain in the easiest way.
   • MyDS Center, a Synology membership service, is now up and running to serve the community at MyDS.Synology.com, you may check your Synology DiskStation status from anywhere via the heartbeat feature and receive the push notification in case of any unexpected shutdown.
   • Push Notification enables you to receive the important messages instantly from your Synology DiskStation via Windows Live Messenger, Skype, DS cam and DS finder for iPhone/iPad.
   • HTTPS connection from DS file is supported in QuickConnect service.

3. Applications Modularization:
   Six previously built-in applications - Photo Station, Audio Station, Download Station, Media Server, iTunes Server, and Surveillance Station - are now modularized to be independent packages, and they can be installed or updated separately without interrupting services running on DSM.

4. iSCSI LUN Backup:

   • Point-in-time backup technology is used to allow copy-on-write implementation. Space re-claim mechanism is added to take place for any 4GB zero-block to reduce the file size of total backup.
   • In addition to the local host, LUN can also be backed up to an attached external storage device, or onto another DiskStation via network.
   • Incremental backup is available after running the initial full backup.

5. Desktop Widgets:
   Seven new widgets are now introduced onto DSM desktop – System Health, Resource Monitor, Scheduled Backup, Storage, Current Connections, System Logs and File Change Logs. You will get an overview of system status and monitor the activities of your Synology DiskStation right after the login.

6. User Interface Enhancements with HTML 5 and CSS3 Transform:

   • Instant Preview allows you to take a quick peek of a running app on the task bar before you switch to it. (Internet Explorer is not supported)
   • Pilot View gives you one place to see and navigate every app running on your DSM with just one click. (Internet Explorer is not supported)
   • You can make groups of shortcuts on DSM 4.0 Desktop.
   • You can personalize the background of the login page in DSM 4.0.

7. Application Portal:
   You can customize the alias or HTTP port for Audio Station, File Station, Surveillance Station or Download Station, meaning you may now skip the DSM login page for better privacy and offer an easier way to share these services with your friends.

8. Antivirus Essential (Available in Package Center):

   • Antivirus Essential is a free and complete antivirus solution from Synology.
   • Scheduled virus scan is available to keep your DiskStation safe and secure in your network at all times.
   • Automatic virus definition update allows you to perform the virus scan always with the latest virus definition.
   • Scanning files on the remote folders are supported.

9. File Station Enhancements:

   • The previous File Browser has now been integrated and renamed to File Station.
   • Windows ACL user interface is now integrated into DSM, so you can edit Windows ACL directly in File Station.
   • Sharable file links are now provided to allow DSM users to share files to others with these private file links, without creating DSM accounts for them.
   • Uploading or downloading multiple files and folders in a sequential order is now available. (Java running on the PC client is required)
   • Personal favorite is now added for quick access to your folders.
   • Instant cut, copy, and paste are now available to manage folders and files between your Synology DiskStation and local computer in File Station.
   • File or folder shortcut on DSM desktop is available by directly drag-and-drop from File Station.
   • The number for maximum files to upload is raised to 300.

10. Surveillance Station 5 Enhancements:

    • Live View Analytics lets user track targets and record events intelligently in real time. Live View Analytics History also provides user the ability to view Live View statistics and playback incidents.
    • Evidence Integrity Authenticator tool enables users to verify the originality of Surveillance Station's recording or snapshot.
    • Fisheye camera is supported to view 360 degree panoramic view. Multiple regions or 180 degrees hemispheric images can be dewarpped from distorted fisheye image.
    • More than 1,000 IP cameras are supported and 200 new IP camera models are added from Samsung, Vivotek, ACTi, Trendnet, D-Link, and etc. Please refer to the here for the complete list.
    • In addition to e-mail and SMS, push notification supports DS cam, Windows Live Messenger, and Skype and can now be scheduled by individual camera or event type simultaneously.
    • Camera can now be added in batch from different models and brands, to help system integrators efficiently setup a multiple of cameras.
    • Surveillance Station is becoming fast and more responsive.

11. Photo Station 5 Enhancements:

    • Uploading photos to Picasa Web Albums or Twitter is now supported with just a few clicks. You can upload multiple photos to Picasa Web Album at a time.
    • The new Detail Mode offers you an additional way to view the picture wall in the original aspect of photos along with their titles.
    • A new album, Blog Images, will be created when you share pictures on your blog. The photos shared on your blog will be copied to this public album.
    • Copying photos between albums is now supported for easy management.

12. Download Station Enhancements:

    • Watched Folder allows you to save torrents or NZB files to the specified folder and download tasks will start automatically.
    • SFTP and FTPS are now supported (not available when downloading a directory).

13. Media Indexing Service:

    • Media Server, Audio Station and iTunes Server can be configured to include additional indexed folders for media scanning.
    • All picture, audio and video collections can now be customized to be scanned in the 3 default multimedia folders. (music, video, and photo)
    • MPEG-4 video conversion is now supported for playback on mobile devices in Photo Station.

14. VPN:
    VPN client is now available to allow you to securely access the resources shared within VPN server's local area network, over the Internet. VPN client supports both PPTP and OpenVPN protocol.

15. Syslog:
    Syslog client is now added to report to your Syslog server, which centralizes logs in one place for easy management.

16. VLAN support:

    • VLAN tagging is now supported on your DiskStation, which improves the manageability, and reduces hardware/administrative cost. Supporting VLAN also helps your DiskStation fit into your existing network infrastructure.

17. Hotspot: (not available on all 08 series, DS109j, and DS209j)

    • Wireless access point is now supported by simply plugging a USB wireless dongle into your DiskStation. For the complete supported list, please see here.

18. Connection Manager:
    A real-time connection list is now added to allow you to monitor who is accessing your data and kill the connections of unwanted users. It is supported in DSM, FTP, Samba, and AFP protocols, as well as shown as the widget on DSM desktop.

19. Configuration Backup Enhancements:

    • Configuration backup is integrated with settings of Control Panel, providing easy migration and fast system recovery.
    • Scheduled system configuration backup is introduced to automatically backup the configurations on a weekly basis to reduce the side effects of the system rollback.
    • You can partially restore system configuration now.

20. VMware vSphere 5.0 VAAI Support:
    Atomic Test & Set (ATS) supported to eliminate LUN-level locking based on SCSI reservations and improve data access performance.

21. DHCP Server: (Available in Package Center)

    • DHCP Server supplies IP address to other computers over TCP/IP networks on multiple subnets. It can also be individually turned on/off for each network interface.

22. SMART Test Scheduler:
    SMART test by schedule is now available to scan HDD for potential risks on a timely basis to prevent data crisis.

23. Smart Remap:
    A new mechanism is in place to protect the degraded RAID from being crashed during the repairing process due to bad sectors.

24. Improved NTFS Performance:
    data transfer rate between NTFS external disks and DiskStation can be 3.7 times as fast as DSM 3.2. The speed test result of writing data to the eSATA drive connected to DiskStation with NTFS partition is listed below:

26. FIPS 140-2 Compliant:
    Synology implementation of AES encryption has been validated by Crytographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP)
27. Apple Routers Support:
    EZ-Internet now supports Apple routers - Airport Express, Airport Extreme, and Time Capsule by integrating NAT-PMP. Mac users can now publish their Synology DiskStation onto Internet with just a few clicks. Please refer here for supported router list.

28. ARM Performance Improvements over iSCSI:
    iSCSI data transfer rate on ARM-based DiskStation with RAID 1 disk groups or data volumes is significantly improved by a maximum of 21%. The test result of iSCSI writing is listed below:

    • ID3 tag editor is now added to allow you to modify one or more songs’ information at the same time, such as artist, album name, or title of the song.

New Features

1. Personalized Web Desktop:

   • The new DiskStation Manager Desktop is redesigned to provide an easy-to-use and intuitive user interface. The personal Desktop keeps users' applications and functions easily accessible. Besides, it's customizable so that users can change the wallpaper and background color on their own preference.
   • Login style is introduced to provide users the alternatives with different login screens and the convenience of adding users' own recognition.
   • Main menu is comprised of control panel and all applications, from which users can freely drag the icons to Desktop, or remove it at a later time. The application icons in main menu are available to users at all times.
   • Control panel consolidates all system settings where users can easily modify both software and hardware settings. Home button on the navigation bar provides instant access back to the homepage of control panel.
   • Help browser is added to provide direct access to a comprehensive library of all functions’ introduction and instructions. Home button on the navigation bar provides instant access back to the homepage of Help.
   • Search field on both task bar and navigation bar on Control Panel helps users to look through applications or Help at the same time.
   • Search field is added to task bar on User, Group, and Domain Privileges to assist admin locating the user accounts and group with ease and efficiency.

2. Multitasking: Users can run multiple applications simultaneously on Desktop and switch between them instantly. Multitasking support saves users from the constant wait of refreshing the whole webpage. All running applications are placed on the task bar.

3. File Browser:

   • File Browser provides easy file navigation on Desktop.
   • Drag-and-drop between two different file browsers to copy or move files is now supported and provides easy file management.
   • File uploading in the background is supported therefore allows users to switch to another application without interrupting.
   • File browser now replaces File Station of the default management UI port. File Station on the customized port remains the same.

4. iSCSI Enhancements:

   • LUN mapping support allows multiple LUNs to be mapped to each iSCSI Target.

5. Surveillance Station 5:

   • 254 more IP camera models from Sanyo, Toshiba, Cisco, Axis, Panasonic, AirLive, Messoa, TP-Link, Compro, Etrovision, and other brands are now supported. View the complete list here.
   • ONVIF and PSIA support provides the compatibility between Surveillance Station 5 and ONVIF and PSIA compliant IP cameras.
   • The whole user interface is revamped to provide easy navigation and easy-to-use user experience. Larger viewable area is available in Live View and Timeline.
   • 25 channels & 36 channels layout are now added in Live View to offer users who utilize the centralized management on Surveillance Station with more options.
   • A custom login port is added to provide users with independent access to Surveillance Station without logging into DSM.

   • Upload files with size over 4GB is now supported with Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5 or onward.

8. Photo Station Enhancement: Google map function is enhanced, allowing browsing multiple locations where all the photos are taken within the same album if the geo-information is available.

9. iPhone App (Free download on Apple^®App Store):

   • DS photo is enhanced and renamed to DS photo+. It allows users to easily browse through photos and videos on Photo Station with the thumbnail slider on the go, including interactive with friends through the photo or video comments in real time. Users can easily find out the location where the photo is taken with the built-in Google map, and they can download and store the pictures onto their iPhone/iPod touch and enjoy the flashbacks anytime anywhere. In addition, users can upload photos and videos from their iPhone/iPod touch straight to Photo Station with DS photo+.
   • DS audio is enhanced with the Remote control feature which provides intuitive interface to browse through Audio Station music tank, it allows users to remote control Audio Station music playing on the attached speakers conveniently. Users can now browse music by folders and genres, then able to play music in the background in iOS 4.
   • DS cam now supports multitasking in Apple iOS 4 and H.264 in event playback.

10. Android Phone Applications (Free download on Google^® Android Market):

    • DS cam allows users who own an Android phone to live view IP cameras managed on Surveillance Station, take snapshots, and view recorded events stored on their Surveillance Station whenever network connection is available.
    • DS photo+ allows users who own an Android phone to easily browse through photos and videos on Photo Station with the thumbnail slider on the go, including interactive with friends through the photo or video comments in real time. Users can easily find out the location where the photo is taken with the built-in Google map, and they can download and store the pictures onto their Android phones and enjoy the flashbacks anytime anywhere. In addition, users can upload photos and videos from their Android phone straight to Photo Station with DS photo+.

11. WebDAV: Web-based Distribution Authoring and Versioning is added to allow users to manage and edit files on DiskStation remotely with the support of content metadata and overwrite protection. It helps a disperse group of users around the world work on the same project as a team, which will greatly increase the effectiveness of group collaboration.

12. PHP Enhancements:

    • PHP management is now enhanced to allow users easily enable or disable PHP module individually.

1. New Volume Manager:

   • The Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR) simplifies the RAID setup, allowing the DiskStation to maximize the available storage of varying disk capacities yet with data protection. Experienced administrators may still use a manual option of creating a storage volume.
   • RAID10, 3-way RAID 1 and 4-way RAID 1 volume types are supported.
   • Block-based iSCSI target is supported and providing faster performance of file transfer.
   • The Volume Manager User Interface has been updated with additional graphics and illustrations.
   • RAID 5 to RAID 6 migration is supported.

2. EZ-Internet: The EZ-Internet Wizard is now available for guiding through the steps to establish access to DiskStation from the Internet, including firewall settings, PPPoE setup, DDNS registration, and router port forwarding configuration*. The "Router Configuration" feature is also available on the management UI under "Internet Connection" category, which accomplishes the port forwarding tasks on the router for you. 3. Shared Folder Encryption: AES 256-bit shared folder encryption is supported with the DiskStation. The encrypted shared folder cannot be accessed until it is mounted by entering the encryption key.

4. Backup Enhancements:

   • In addition to the existing "shared folder" level backup, "sub folder" level backup is now supported.
   • NetBackup shared folder is supported to act as the backup source. This allows backing up the data sets from DiskStation A to DiskStation B, and from DiskStation B to DiskStation C, and so on.
   • Amazon S3 is now supported as a backup target.
   • The Backup Wizard now allows backing up Surveillance Station event recordings with all the settings, including notifications, privileges and licenses.

5. File Station 3:

   • Local file browsing is supported (Java Runtime Environment is required) for easy browse and upload the local folders or files to DiskStation with drag-n-drop actions.
   • Multiple tasks are now supported. Upload tasks are performed in the background and with the upload queue listed at the bottom of the File Station.
   • Files and folders on the DiskStation can be compressed directly from the File Station.
   • .7z and .iso compressed files extraction is supported.

6. Surveillance Station 4:

   • 162 more IP camera models from Sony, Mobotix, JVC, IQeye, Edimax, Siemens and other brands are now supported. View the complete list here.
   • H.264 video format is now supported.
   • Intelligent PTZ now supports preset positions, patrol paths, and guard schedules on each camera.
   • Manual recording is supported during camera live view.
   • E-Map is supported, which allows assigning an uploaded image to each live view layout, and deploy corresponding cameras or sub-maps to the image.
   • Enhanced user accounts privilege allows deciding not only the privilege of each user (manager vs. spectator), but also which IP cameras each user can access.
   • Event export function is supported to allow archiving the recorded events to an external storage device or another shared folder. At a later time the events can be mounted back for review on Surveillance Station.
   • More advanced camera settings are supported, including direct live-view streaming from the IP cameras, different image resolutions and frame rates settings for recording and live view, along with pre- and post-recording time and more flexible recording schedule configuration.
   • The sync-event player is improved with better time accuracy.
   • Motion detection setting is improved with threshold testing utility.

7. iPhone Support: A new iPhone app, DS cam, is available on Apple^® App Store for free. DS cam allows users who own an iPhone/iPod touch to live view the IP cameras (in MJPEG format), take snapshots, and view recorded events on your Surveillance Station whenever network connection is available.

8. Photo Station 4:

   • Browsing photos with a photo wall or an image flow view is now supported.
   • Adjusting photo thumbnail size with a sliding bar when browsing photos is now supported.
   • Uploading photos and creating sub-folders through Photo Station UI is supported (Flash 9 is required). Enhanced privilege control allows customizing which albums each user accounts can access or upload photos.
   • Virtual albums are now supported, including albums of recent photos or videos.
   • Google map function is integrated, allowing browsing the location where the photo is taken if the geo-information is available in the photo, or manually edit the Google map location.
   • Enhanced album access permission allows easily setting the public/private attribute of all albums.
   • 1024X768 blog layout is supported and 10 new banners are newly provided.
   • Photo Uploader utility is available in the new Synology Assistant to allow uploading photos and videos to the DiskStation which photo thumbnails and H.264 films pre-generated with the client computer.

   • Streaming music from other UPnP/DLNA media servers within LAN is supported.

Windows Mobile 6.0 (Internet Explore Mobile or Opera 9.0 and onward), iPhone OS 2.2.1 and onward (Safari) or Symbian OS 9.1, S60 3rd Edition and onward are required.

4. iSCSI⁽¹⁾: Designate portion of your volume space to be an iSCSI target, and expand it later at your preference. You can assign up to 10 iSCSI targets on each DiskStation.
5. Firewall: The built-in firewall function allows you to decide which service or IP address are allowed to access the DiskStation and prevent uninvited connections.
6. SNMP: SNMP protocol support allows you to monitor DiskStation with network management softwares.
7. Auto Block: Auto block function protects your DiskStation from hostile attacks. IP address with pre-defined number of failed login attempts will be blocked and cannot access the server until manually removed from the block list by admin. 9. Enhanced FTP Server: The advanced privilege of "write-only" is supported. In addition, limiting the maximum connections from each individual IP provides better bandwidth management together with the bandwidth restriction option. UTF-8 filename support which better handles multilingual characters is also optional.
10. New Download Station 2: Other than BT/FTP/HTTP download, new download channels eMule and NZB are now supported by the Download Station 2. In addition, partial files download from BT is also allowed. Download Station 2 is now separated from the management UI and stands on an individual webpage.
