Export

In the Export tab, you can export recordings from Surveillance Station to any shared folder or to an external storage device via USB or eSATA interface. By specifying the camera and time range, recordings within the range will be exported as an archive.

Note:

  • The recorded files of deleted cameras cannot be exported.

To export an archive:

  1. Click Add.
  2. Name the archive and select a destination. If your Synology NAS/NVR is a CMS host, you will need to select a source server and destination server. Click Next to continue.
  3. Select the camera(s) from which recordings are to be exported. Click Next to continue.
  4. Select the date and time range of the recordings to be exported. Click Finish to export.

Limitations:

  • Archive name is case sensitive and allows 1 to 32 Unicode characters. The following symbols are excluded:
    ! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + , / : ; < = > ? @ [ ] \ ^ ` { } | ~
  • The first character cannot be a minus sign or a space, and the last character cannot be a space.

To delete an archive:

Select the archives you want to remove, and click Delete. Then select from either of the following:

  • If you want to delete all exported files while removing the selected archive, select Delete all export files and click OK.
  • If you want to keep all exported files while removing the selected archive, select Keep all exported files and click OK. This action will only remove the archive from the list.
