Settings
Apply general settings under Common Settings to configure RADIUS Server.
The general options include the following:
- Authentication port: RADIUS Server's port number for interface protocols. The default value is 1812 for authentication.
- Select the source against which RADIUS Server authenticates users: Choose any of the authentication sources for RADIUS Server. Refer to the Authentication sources section for detailed instructions.
- Download Root Certificate: When using RADIUS authentication to access wireless network, you might need to download and install Root Certificate, or disable the "Validate server certificate" option.
Authentication methods supported by RADIUS Server:
PAP, MS-CHAP, PEAP, EAP-MSCHAPv2, EAP-TTLS
Note:
- Please go to Control Panel > User > Domain or LDAP to set up an AD domain or LDAP environment before selecting AD domain accounts or LDAP service accounts.
- If a user from the authentication source has been deactivated at Control Panel > User, the user will not get authenticated by RADIUS Server.
Authentication sources
Choose one of the following account sources to be authenticated by RADIUS Server:
- Local system accounts
- LDAP service accounts
- AD domain accounts
Account name formats
Refer to the examples below for the accepted account name formats. Note that the account you log in with is case-insensitive.
- Local system accounts
tonywu - LDAP service accounts
tonywu
tonywu@ldap.domain - AD domain accounts

If your account source is LDAP service, the account name you enter, for example "tonywu", will be translated to "tonywu@YOUR.JOINED.LDAP.DOMAIN".
If your account source is AD domain and it has a trust relationship with another domain, the account name you enter, for example "tonywu", will be translated to "THE.DOMAIN.YOU.JOINED\tonywu".
