How do I reset my Synology Router?

Soft reset your Synology Router
- Use a paper clip to gently press and hold the RESET button for 4 seconds. Your Synology Router will then start a soft reset.
- When the soft reset is complete, launch a web browser on a computer that is being connected to your Synology Router via Ethernet.
- Enter "router.synology.com" in the address bar.
- Click Connect to launch the configuration wizard.
- Fill in the information to set up the administrator account. Click Next to continue.
- After the configuration wizard is complete, click Start managing now to access your SRM.
During a soft reset, the STATUS LED indicator on Synology Router behaves as follows:

Hard reset your Synology Router
- Use a paper clip to gently press and hold the RESET button for 10 seconds. Your Synology Router will then start a hard reset.
- When the hard reset is complete, reinstall SRM by following the guidelines in Chapter 1 of Synology Router User's Guide.
During a hard reset, the STATUS LED indicator on Synology Router behaves as follows:

Notes:
- If you only wish to change the administrator's password when you can sign in to SRM normally, please go to Options > Account to configure the settings.
- Data on Synology Router will remain intact after a soft or hard reset. However, we suggest backing up your data before the reset to avoid any unexpected data loss.
- This LED behavior is applicable to SRM 1.3.1 and above versions. If you are using SRM 1.2.5 and earlier versions, please refer to the RT2600ac Product Manual for more information.
