Synology^® Releases October Peripherals Update with Four Newly Supported Hard Drives

Taipei, Taiwan— October 7, 2009—Synology^® Inc. today announced the compatibility of its Disk Station with Samsung 2.5" hard drive HM250HI (250GB) and three 3.5" hard drives, including Samsung HD154UI (1.5TB), Seagate ST31000322CS (1TB) and ST31000424CS (1TB). All of the above models have successfully passed a series of stress and compatibility tests in the Synology laboratory and have been proven to be compatible with applicable Disk Station models.

The 2.5" hard drive is compatible with DS409 and DS409slim. Once installed with Synology 2.5" Disk Holder, it is also compatible with DS409+, DS209+II, DS209+, DS209, DS209j, DS109+, DS109 and DS109j. All three 3.5" hard drives are compatible with Synology Disk Station of x09, x08 and x07 series except that Samsung HD154UI (1.5TB) does not support DS109j.
