Taipei, Taiwan — February 26, 2014 — Synology® today announced that Alex Wang has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2014. Wang will succeed Vic Hsu, who will assume a new role to help the company shape the direction of strategic territories.
Since joining the company in 2002, Alex has spearheaded major product and sales development strategies. During his tenure overseeing Synology GmbH, the subsidiary has achieved vigorous growth in sales and brand recognition. “Alex’s technology vision and profound experience in global operations make him a compelling choice to drive Synology to the next level of product innovation and growth,” said Philip Wong, Synology’s Founder and Chairman.

Wang most recently held the position of Managing Director at Synology GmbH, where he rolled out various development strategies to outperform the market. Previously Wang was Managing Director of Synology UK, and had led both Sales and Software Development groups at Synology Inc.
