Synology® Unveils Synology Cloud2 for Beta Testing

TAIPEI, Taiwan — March 21, 2017 — Synology® Inc. today announced the beta release of Synology Cloud2 (Synology C2 for short), a pioneering service aimed to optimize NAS backup experience with a public cloud storage dedicated for the Synology NAS.

"Synology C2 is our commitment to provide a comprehensive storage and backup solution under one trusted name, ensuring our user's data is handled with the high level of expertise that Synology is renowned for." said Vic Hsu, CEO at Synology Inc.

Synology has set up its first data center for Synology C2 in Germany.

"Synology C2 makes up for the insufficiencies of generic public cloud services, and empowers DSM users with a console designed specifically for the management of NAS backups, with granular recovery, dashboard monitor, and client-side encryption – the combination of which has never before been made available for a NAS server." said Jia-Yu Liu, Senior Manager at Cloud & Backup Division.
