    • Network configuration: Utilize all network ports for maximum bandwidth.
  • Client computer:
    • 10GbE environment: Intel Core i7-13700K 5.4GHz; 2 x 16 GB DDR5-5600; 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD; Synology E10G18-T2 NIC

Test Environment for Synology Applications

  • Synology Drive and Synology Office:
    • Models with expandable memory are tested with the maximum supported quantity installed.
    • Models with SSD support are tested with a single SSD volume.
  • Synology MailPlus:
    • Models with expandable memory are tested with the maximum supported quantity installed. Learn more about memory requirements.
    • Models with SSD support are tested with a single SSD volume.
    • Operating in high-availability mode will incur additional overhead.
    • Features enabled during evaluation: anti-spam, anti-virus, DNSBL, greylist, content scanning, and full-text search (English).
  • Surveillance Station:
    • Models are tested with fully populated drive bays using the default memory configuration under continuous recording.
    • FS Series models are tested using SSD drives.
