Work with Timeline

Multi-Recording Playback allows you to simultaneously watch videos recorded on one day or at the same time by different cameras. All recordings are lined up on the timeline. You can easily find the recording you are looking for by clicking a specific time on this day or during the hour, and play it with the recording player on this page.

Note:

  • From Surveillance Station 8.2 and onwards, HTML5 player will be used in Surveillance Station web-based interface for video streaming, and plugins will no longer be required. Please find browser limitations listed below, you may also refer to this article for more information:
    • Only H.264 and MJPEG video codecs are supported.
    • At most 36 channels are supported in the Timeline layout.
    • Joysticks, Fisheye Dewarping, Smart Search, and Live View Analytics are not supported.

Recording Timeline

On timeline, various colors represent different events when the videos were recorded:

  • : No event was detected
  • : Event detected

Note:

  • Events include motion, audio, tampering, digital input, PIR, ACAP, or Intercom related events.
  • Timeline color is not absolutely associated with your recording schedule. Even when you set a continuous recording, if an event was detected during the continuous recording, the timeline will still present the corresponding event color. For example, when a motion is detected during a continuous recording, the color for the Event detected will be displayed on the timeline.
