Customizing aliases and ports

  1. Go to Control Panel > Login Portal > Applications.
  2. Double-click Synology Drive.
  3. Under Web Services, you can configure the following settings:
    • Alias: Enter an alias for Synology Drive.
    • Customized port (HTTP) and Customized port (HTTPS): Enable ports according to your needs. You can specify a port number other than the default ones.
  4. Save the settings.

Setting up a domain

  1. Register a domain name from a stable and established DNS provider. For a list of domain registrars, you can visit ICANN.
  2. Set up port forwarding rules on the router. Consult with your DNS provider if you encounter any issues.
  3. Check your Synology NAS local network router or firewall to ensure the ports 80 and 443 are correctly forwarded to your Synology NAS local IP address. Consult your router manufacturer or firewall provider if you encounter any issues.
  4. Go to Control Panel > Login Portal > Applications.

  6. Enter your domain name in the Customized domain.
