Proactive Care

Proactive Care is a remote monitoring technology platform providing 24-7 proactive monitoring service for your Synology NAS servers. This service increases IT management efficiency and reduces the risk of system downtime.

After you register your NAS server to your Synology Account and enable the Proactive Care service, your server will be able to connect to Synology’s Proactive Care cloud server for centralized and automated monitoring service.

To activate Proactive Care service:

If you have not activated Proactive Care service, the activation wizard will guide you through the setup steps when you launch the package.

Note:

To report server status effectively, Proactive Care will make the following changes to your DSM settings:

  • System log collection interval will be changed to 15 minutes.
  • Usage information sharing will be enabled.

These changes will be applied only when Proactive Care is enabled. Once it is disabled or removed, these settings will be reverted back to the original status.
