Synology® Releases the Beta for Surveillance Station
Efficient Centralization, Flexible Deployment and High Interoperability
Taipei (Taiwan) - April 2, 2013 - Synology® today announced the beta availability of Surveillance Station, which brings efficiency and flexibility with the Central Management System (CMS) and the support of ONVIF Profile S and Mobotix MxPEG.

Synology CMS has been designed for large-scale and high level enterprise surveillance projects. It centralizes the management of widely spread recording servers and IP cameras, including setting their user or group credentials and permissions, watching live feeds and playback recordings as well as conducting intelligence video analysis of multiple IP cameras, all on a CMS host.
In addition, Synology CMS filters camera list and recordings by different criteria, offering a quick and unified search experience. It also provides the options of centralizing notifications and logs of various recording servers at the CMS host. Besides, IP cameras can be migrated among different recording servers and all camera licenses are centralized on the CMS host, further boosting management efficiency.
Surveillance Station CMS brings surveillance to a new level of integration.
Achieving ONVIF Profile S certification, Surveillance Station interoperates seamlessly with extensive range of IP cameras following this standard, greatly simplifying users' decision making and management of security and surveillance products. Also in order to increase compatibility, Surveillance Station now supports Mobotix MxPEG codec that consumes less computing power and storage space, while captures movement in high quality.
