    Installation

    1. Drive 1.0.0 is compatible with DSM 6.1.3 and above.
    2. Synology Application Service and Universal Search 1.0.6 or above are required to be installed before you install Drive.

    Compatibility

    1. Drive is designed to integrate all the functions of Cloud Station Server. Upon the installation of Drive, Cloud Station Server will be replaced, and all its sync settings as well as history versions will be safely migrated to Drive. Learn more

    2. Drive serves as a brand new management portal for Office 2.0. Office files will be safely migrated to Drive after it is installed.

    3. If a user account/group has been denied permission in the application privilege settings of Cloud Station Server or Office 2.0, the user account/group will also be denied the application privilege of Drive after it is installed. 

    4. The database does not need reindexing when Cloud Station Server is upgraded to Drive; however, the system needs to execute file indexing to offer search services and thus the CPU usage may temporarily increase.

  • Integration

    1. The add-on package, Office 3.0, can be installed to bring a variety of online editing features for Documents, Spreadsheets, and Slides.
    2. Images and vidoes in Moments can be managed using Drive.
    3. Users can receive Drive notifications via the Drive bot on Chat (Chat and Drive need to be installed on the same Synology NAS).
    4. Users can back up Drive via Hyper Backup (Currently only the latest file versions will be backed up).
