With a focussed arena of network oriented tasks it can easily match a SUN UltraSparc. And it doesn't even match it, but it beats it to the ground because there's a wonderful world of easy to install applications and there's a comfortable and practical Web GUI. If you need them, there are programming languages you can install on the DS209. So this is an excellent system for everyone who wants to delegate all the network oriented tasks to a small, silent and power efficient system in the corner of the office. Maybe it's not the cheapest of its class, but it's very well worth the money. I have been a Linux and Unix engineer for over 15 years and I do know what I am saying: Congratulations. Now I learned to measure my time in terms of money. With your product (and your firmware!!!!) you made save me big big amount of money (my time in set up and configuration is saved = I can focus on my work) and I have the best solution I have ever tried (and not fully succedeed) to set up for myself.
