Taipei, Taiwan—March 4, 2010—Synology's recently launched DiskStation DS1010+ made a huge impact in the small-and-medium business market and now receives the honeor of a 9.2/10 score in the review from industry recognized InfoWorld.com, U.S.A. The review, "Small business storage finds a new gear," was published on February 15, and praises the flawless management, speedy performance, and great value of the Synology DS1010+.
Mr. Paul Venezia, senior contributing editor at InfoWorld.com reviewed the DS1010+ and was impressed with the overall value and performance of the DS1010+, giving it a high score of 9.2/10. In the review Synology DiskStation Manager is undoubtedly the key factor that differentiates Synology DiskStations from other NAS products. "The Web-based GUI is better than just about every enterprise-level storage management app, and offers a staggering array of services," praised Mr. Venezia.
The performance and price pleased Mr. Venezia, too. Synology DS1010+ adopts a CPU of 1.67GHz, dual core with floating point and hits reading and writing speed over 100 MB/sec. "That's impressive all by itself, but to get that kind of performance on a five-spindle array that costs less than $1,000 (without disk) is amazing," commented Mr. Venezia.
"We appreciate the compliments from InfoWorld's review and will continue to deliver new higher-quality products with exceptional-support at reasonable costs for the business market everywhere," says Edward Lin, marketing director of Synology Inc.
