Can I create a mesh Wi-Fi system with WPA3 security?
Details
Synology Router supports WPA3 security starting from SRM 1.2-7742.
To create a mesh Wi-Fi system with WPA3 security, all the Wi-Fi points of the mesh Wi-Fi system must be updated to SRM 1.2-7742 or above. We recommend updating to the latest version.
Resolution
On your primary Wi-Fi point:
- Go to SRM Control Panel > System > Update & Restore.
- Update the SRM to the latest version.
- Update the additional Wi-Fi points running older SRM versions.1
Notes:
- In general, the additional Wi-Fi points can be updated with your operation on the primary Wi-Fi point. If not, please do the following:
- Hard reset the Synology Router that you use as an additional Wi-Fi point. (Tutorial)
