Synology® announces official release of new Chat, Calendar, and Office applications

BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON — November 24, 2016 — Synology® Inc. today announced the official release of three brand new collaboration applications: Office, Calendar, and Chat.

New collaboration applications

  • Chat: Posts, mentions, and channels offer real-time communication for easy collaboration, the powerful data management tools centralize information all in one place, and encryption for private channels protects sensitive data from internal or external threats. The mobile version of Chat is available on iOS and Android.   
  • Calendar: Share calendars, schedule meetings, and add new events directly within MailPlus. Support for CalDAV enables users to synchronize Synology Calendar with iOS and macOS native calendars.
  • Office: Work together on documents or spreadsheets remotely or on-premises. The integration of Office and Chat makes virtual collaboration easier and better. Synology Office is fast and intuitive, built from Synology's years of experience in designing great interfaces.

Other applications including multimedia, cross-platform and public cloud synchronization packages have also been updated during this software release.
