Synology^® Releases OpenERP Package for its NAS Servers

Taipei, Taiwan—October 25, 2011—Synology^® Inc. today announced the official release of OpenERP Package, an open source software which integrates a full range of business applications including sales, CRM, project management, warehouse management, manufacturing, accounting, and human resources, into a coherent information system.

Installed with the OpenERP package, a Synology DiskStation can work as an ERP server to provide cost-effective yet easy-to-use business management solutions. “As the industry's first to offer ERP solutions in a NAS server, Synology allows businesses to implement an ERP system at an affordable cost,” said Wayne An, product manager of Synology Inc. “It takes only a few clicks to install the OpenERP package in Package Center, which simplifies the building process of an ERP server,” added An.

Business users can leverage functionalities available in a Synology NAS server to optimize their ERP system. Different types of RAID volumes protect business-critical ERP data against disk failure. Designed with energy efficiency in mind, Synology NAS servers not only offer 24/7 access to users' ERP system, but can also significantly reduce their electric bills.
