Taipei, Taiwan—September 30, 2009—Synology® Disk Station DS409 and DS409slim outshined 38 reviewed NAS servers and both won the "Editor's Choice" awards from the French Magazine PC EXPERT in its NAS roundup published in September.
Mr. Vincent JaJolet, the editor who conducted the review, acclaimed that DS409 provides a web configuration interface based on the AJAX technology, which is particularly simple and clear. JaJolet further commented: "Recall that the use of 2.5-inch disks results in a much lower power consumption and noise level. As DS409slim has capacity of 4 bays 2.5-inch disks, one of the strengths of this product is the RAID 5 support."
"We feel honored and excited that Disk Station was laurelled by the most popular French magazine PC EXPERT again," said Edward Lin, marketing direct of Synology. "We believe the latest firmware Disk Station Manager 2.2, officially released in early September, will keep on bringing users a new NAS experience."
