System Requirements
Before starting scanning operations, ensure the system has a minimum of 1 GB RAM for successful scanning and optimal performance
Scan Configuration
Supports customized scan plans with configurable scan schedules and scan targets
Scans the full system or specific folders
Scheduled automatic scan tasks
Smart Scan: Automatically identifies and scans new or modified files to save scanning time
Exclusion list to exclude files from being scanned
Scanning Scope & Exclusions
Files larger than 2,048 MB will not be scanned
The probability of success for finding viruses hidden in archive files (e.g., ZIP, RAR, ARJ, Tar, Gzip, Bzip2) will be lower
Remote Folders (CIFS) mounted in File Station will not be included in full scan
Does not support scanning the following items:
Read-only shared folders
Files located in C2 Storage from Hybrid Share folders
Email service-related folders, including the default MailPlus shared folder and Maildir folders in users' "home" directory. You can run an antivirus engine on your Synology MailPlus Server to scan incoming MailPlus messages
Snapshots
Files backed up via Time Machine
Invisible .bucket files within .hbk files from Hyper Backup's multi-version backup tasks in local destinations
