I think the IPKG-part is not covered correctly. IPKG-Packages are already compiled for the specified Platform. Many packages can also be installed by simply deflating the .ipk archive (for example with 7-zip) and moving them onto the Synology Station.

Hi Trolli, Thank you for raising that. When I wrote the wiki I had only just started using IPKG, but wanted to document what I had learned over about a week to save others having to spend the amount of time I did learning what to do. I will update/correct it.
