Please keep the Synology unit away from direct sunlight, chemicals and particulate matter. Please make sure that the environment does not experience abrupt changes in temperature or humidity

Do keep the Synology unit standing upright; do not lay it down horizontally.

Please keep all liquids away from the Synology product.

Do not place the Synology product on a cart, table, or desk which is not stable to avoid the Synology product from falling

The power cord must be plugged into the appropreiate socket to supply the correct voltage. Make sure the supplied AC voltage is correct and stable

Before cleaning the Synology product, turn the unit off and disconnect the power plug from the back of the unit. Carefully wipe the surface the unit wipe damp paper towels (you may use microfiber lens cleaning cloths as well).

Do not block the ventilation slots of the Synology unit, doing so will result in the unit overheating.
For the DS Series, the vents are located on the bottom of the unit, with exhaust in the rear
For the CS/RS Series, the vents are located on the front face plate, with exhaust in the rear
Please remove and discard the protective film that covers the front face plate of your unit (DS/CS models)
