Photo Station 3

Photo Station 3 is a convenient solution to share your photos, videos, and blog over the Internet. Without the space limitation of a third-party service provider, you can store as many photos and videos as the capacity of your hard drives allows.

The flexibility of photo theme customization, blog layout arrangement, visitor's privilege setting, RSS feed, and the dazzling 3-dimentional photo browsing with Cooliris make Photo Station 3 your state-of-the-art lifestyle sharing center on the Internet.

Photos

To publish the photos or videos on Photo Station 3, all you need to do is first organize your photos or videos into folders, and then upload the folders to the "photo" shared folder on your Synology DiskStation. Once the folders are uploaded to the server, albums will be automatically organized with proper thumbnails for easy browsing.

Besides browsing photos in an album, you can also view the whole album in a slideshow. After signing in as the administrator, you can also manage the albums such as adding title and description of the album, or applying sorting rule on the albums.

When viewing a photo, a list of management tools on the top allows you to see the photo information in detail, rotate the photo, watch it in full size, set as the album cover, or even blog the photo and publish it on your blog in Photo Station 3. Visitors can post comments at the bottom of each photo.

Photo Station also supports 3-dimentional photo browsing with Cooliris. It only requires a small browser plug-in installation.

The search function helps you find the photos, videos and files using keywords. You can also click the arrow button for advanced search options.

Videos

Photo Station 3 supports various video formats. All supported videos are converted into compressed Flash format for fast Internet streaming. Visitors can view the videos while they are still streaming to avoid long wait for download. Full-screen mode is supported.

Blog

Besides sharing your photos on Photo Station 3, you can also create and share your own blog. In the Blog section, you can add posts and personalize your blog space by adjusting the layout and modules. Photo Station 3 provides numerous built-in modules and you can decide which modules to be displayed in the Blog.

Customization

In Photo Station 3 Settings section, you can assign each user's access permission for the private albums or you can change the Photo Station theme among several system default styles, or customize the theme in the way you want.

In the Blog settings, you can customize the blog interface such as changing the banner picture, blog title, number of posts on the main page, and more. You can also back up blog posts, comments, labels, and module settings to a designated backup file and restore the blog data when needed.
