Music and Video Sharing

DSM can work as an iTunes server to share music and videos within a local network. You can simply install iTunes on your PC or MAC computer and use iTunes as a multimedia player to browse and play music and videos stored on your Synology DiskStation. After enabling iTunes service in DSM, iTunes will recognize the Synology DiskStation as an iTunes server under the SHARED list.

Smart Playlist

Synology’s iTunes service provides the Smart Playlist function, allowing you to create playlists containing songs that match the criteria you specify. iTunes can play the songs in the smart playlist, and will update the songs automatically as you change the criteria with DSM.
