Music and Video Sharing

DSM 2.3 can work as an iTunes^® server to share music and videos within a local network. You can simply install iTunes^® on your PC or MAC computers and use iTunes^® as a multimedia player to browse and play music and videos stored on your Synology DiskStation. After enabling iTunes^®service in DSM 2.3, iTunes^® will recognize the Synology DiskStation as an iTunes^® client under the SHARED list.

Smart Playlist

Synology iTunes^® Server's Smart Playlist allows you to create playlists with songs that match the criteria you specify and iTunes^® will update these playlists automatically as you add or delete songs.

Apple AirPort Express

Synology iTunes^® Server is compatible with Apple^® AirPort Express^® allowing you to stream music from the server to your desktop or to external speakers via Apple^® AirPort Express^®.
