Create Playlist of Your Own

Organize songs into playlists and access your favorite music more easily than ever before. Create a playlist and add songs with drag-n-drop move. You can also create a playlist for the songs you selected through the new right-click menu. Double-click a playlist and it will begin to play from the music player. Smart Playlists managed in DSM’s iTunes service can be available on Audio Station for added convenience.

Being able to construct your own personal playlist is one of the crucial features on Audio Station as it embraces personalization and exclusivity for every account user. Every user can create their own playlists according to their preferences and will be the only person who can make changes to these lists.

FM/AM of Your Liking on the Net

Pick Internet radio stations from the various music categories. Audio Station comes preloaded with lists of Internet radio stations provided by SHOUTCast and RadioIO. You can also manually add, delete, and edit Internet radio stations to customize your listening experience. Drag-n-drop radio stations onto My favorite list and it will be played automatically by choosing Internet Radio with the available Synology Remote. In streaming mode you can also listen to MP3 format Internet radios.

Enhance Your Hearing Sensation with the Equalizer

When having USB speakers connected to the DiskStation, you can choose to play your music by Audio Station in USB Mode.

While in USB mode, you can enhance the sound of your music by the Audio Station Equalizer. Located below the search field, Equalizer includes many presets — Rock, R&B, and Pop, to name a few. You can make selective adjustment to enhance the music by raising the volume or sharpening a particular sound, like increase the bass frequency to create a heavier rhythm. You can also compensate the loss in frequency by reducing echoes and feedback that are caused by the surrounding environment, making the music sound more natural and full.

ID3 Tag Editing

Prior to this new update, you may have to edit your audio file on a local PC with other 3rd-party editing software and then transfer the files to the DiskStation for them to take effect. This process can become very tedious when you need to update only a small piece of information and you need to run the entire process repeatedly. Now you can edit ID3 tag of each song right on your Audio Station now to complete your music database. By inputting unique information about each piece of music, sorting music by artist, album name or song name has become more organized, more flexible and easier.

The Mini Jukebox

The mini player adds a fresh touch to the multitasking feature for you to control your music playback while working with other DSM applications. With a smaller control panel, you will have more desktop space left for you to open more applications and surf between them.
