Organize music into playlists, browse your music library, and stream over the Internet via a web browser. You can also stream music from iPod, Internet radio, and other UPnP/DLNA media servers.
Music PlayerWithout installing additional media player software, you can conveniently play music on Audio Station 2 using the compact music player. Play and listen to music simultaneously from a web browser (streaming mode), USB speakers (USB mode) or via a media renderer. Streaming mode supports playing music in MP3 or M4A format, and internet radios in MP3 format. The music player displays detailed information on the current song, including the song's title, album, artist, and duration. Insert an album picture in the music folder to display it as the music plays. The queue panel beneath the music player shows the current playlist. Jump from music streaming mode to USB mode or media renderer with a click. Play music simultaneously in all three modes is possible. The shuffle button and the repeat button give you greater flexibility to your listening experience. Music LibraryView your music collection by category or let Audio Station 2 do the selection with the Random100 option. Browse albums and songs by list, icon, or cover flow. Music lovers with vast song collection will find the quick search function handy with the search-as-you-type feature.
PlaylistOrganize songs into playlists and access your favorite music more easily than ever before. Create a playlist and add songs with drag-n-drop move. You can also create a playlist for the songs you selected through the new right-click menu. Double-click a playlist and it will begin to play from the music player. Smart Playlists managed in iTunes® can available through Audio Station for added convenience.
Internet Radio
Pick Internet radio stations from the various music categories. Audio Station 2 comes preloaded with lists of Internet radio stations provided by SHOUTCast and RadioIO. You can also manually add, delete, and edit Internet radio stations to customize your listening experience. Drag-n-drop radio stations onto My favorite list and it will be played automatically by choosing Internet Radio with the available Synology Remote. In streaming mode you can also listen to MP3 format Internet radios.
Synology Remote
By connecting supported USB speakers and the Synology Remote receptor to the USB port on a DiskStation, users can enjoy the music stored on a Synology DiskStation with the compact Synology Remote. The Synology Remote comes with a RF signal design which allows for direction-free audio control. Switching songs or Internet radio stations is as simple as changing channels on TV.
