"I have owned two Synology Disk Stations. The first one was 250 GB and was great. I upgraded and purchased a 1010+ about 1 year ago and then moved into a house where I had a home automation system. I wanted to have all of my movies burned on to the 1010+ so I sent it off with my movies. The station came back damaged due to shipping and the volume was crashed with no access to data.
The 1010+ was/is the best electronic network equipment that I have ever owned. However, the support is even better!! I was given great guidance in setting up the proper raid type from the beginning. Then, when my volumes crashed, the technical support at Synology was awesome. I purchased a new 1010+, Synology fixed my volume remotely and all of my data is preserved and working great. I will always purchase Synology for my storage needs!!!"

"After some research, I choose to buy Synology DS-110j. I downloaded the latest software from synology.com support/downloads. It only took me an hour to install and set it up and running. I have setup the MediaServer, copied my video files within minutes and now streaming to my ps3. Amazing!! "I did a lot of research before purchasing my DS409+ and there is no question in my mind -- Synology offers the best bang for the buck of any NAS on the market.
Beyond just a great and very full-featured product, Synology truly stands behind what they sell with outstanding service and support. I put this to the test recently when I accidentally crashed a RAID5 volume on my DiskStation during a hard drive replacement. The problem was completely my fault. I contacted Synology support that evening, expecting to be told that I would have to rebuild and restore my data from a backup. The next morning. I had a response from Synology support offering to have an engineer connect to my DiskStation to look at the problem. By mid-afternoon the same day, after exchanging a few emails with support, Synology had connected in to my DiskStation and successfully fixed my RAID5 volume. Their quick response and willingness to help fix a mistake I made with my data went well beyond my expectations. In the end, I lost absolutely no data and my DiskStation was only down for about a half a day. I simply cannot express how impressed I was with Synology support.
I have already recommend Synology products to friends and co-workers who are in the market for a NAS solution. There simply isn't a better product from a better company out there."
