"I use the DS209+ mainly as a NAS for 5 desktops and 3 different notebooks I have in my home. I have all of the My Documents folders from these PCs mapped to the server. I also use the Web Services and FTP Server."

"I just started trusting the device with nightly backups to External USB drive (flawless!) this was not the case with your competitor’s products! Their devices constantly failed to backup to the External USB drive trashing it and causing reformatting of the drive and resetting of the server (Major Problem!) I plan to start using the other services like iTunes and multimedia services as well as upgrading the drives from 2 500GB to 2 1TB in the future. Looking at the user manual and new features I see smooth sailing with all I plan with it in the future. Thanks again for a great product."
