MIB Guide

Synology DiskStation Manager 4.1 is equipped with new capabilities which allow users to monitor the system, disk, and RAID statuses of their DiskStations through NMS (Network Management Systems) via SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).

This document is a guide to using Synology DiskStation’s MIB (Management Information Base) files.

Who Should Read This Document?

IT administrators who need to monitor multiple network devices, including multiple DiskStation, with NMS (Network Management Systems) via SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) should read this document. Users are encouraged to have prior experience and knowledge of NMS and SNMP.

System Requirements

Version 4.1 or above of DiskStation Manager is required to use Synology MIB files.
