Why I cannot install my Synology Product and why my power LED is flashing constantly?

Answer :

If you are one of the users who are unable to complete the installation because of some error message, or the Power LED is flashing constantly, then please follow steps below to check the motherboard of your Synology Product:
  1. Power off the Synology Product.
  2. Remove all external attached devices.
  3. Remove the internal drive(s) of a Synology Product.
  4. Power on the Synology Product.
If you hear a loud beep and followed by a steady blue Power LED within one minute, your motherboard is functional. Please repair the currently used hard drive and check to see if it has any bad sectors. Other alternative is to insert another hard drive and install it through Synology Assistant.

If the power LED appears to be flashing blue then the motherboard is defected. You need to contact your retailer for repair or exchange procedure.
