I am very very happy with my DS410j. It is rock solid and very feature rich. The vibrant developer community that exists and the large number of free apps that you can install on it are simply amazing. I have already gotten two of my friends on to the Synology bandwagon and I will keep on recommending Synology devices to whoever asks for my opinion. Good luck for the future.
For every timely response I have received, Synology's customer service is the best I have ever seen!
I have emailed a few different things over my time: questions about CPU comparisons among various products, the feasibility of RAID types, video streaming, and a request of a lost eSATA cable. Everything has been answered and helped out further than it needed to be. Top class.
I just want to let you know that I think all your products are fantastic and so useful either at home or within the industry. I’m glad I found your products and I’ve even shared it on my blog in Spanish (my native language).

I'm on my second Synology NAS now. I chose the right brand from the beginning and this white and silvery box (currently DS411j) is all you need when it comes to network attached storage.
Also, the support is great!
The backup functions is superb for a photographer like myself to keep all my images in a safe place and being able to backup it up this easy; which means I am actually doing backup simply by storing my images.
I bought a DS110j and I am excited!
For a long time now, I haven't seen an equivalent just as comprehensive and easy-to-use! Currently, in my opinion, a lot of features will be integrated into a product just to have some publicity. For example, DLNA-compatibility, iTunes Server, Apps for remote-access, and so on. I often find these features somehow working but are laborious and faulty. Thus, it's no fun to use these features in a long term.
But this is different with my Synology.
I'm glad that I've read lots of NAS evaluations (Seagate, Western Digital, Buffalo, and so on.) before buying and decided to spend some more Euros for my Synology.

Dear Synology Team, I got my DS211j half year ago to use in a SOHO environment.
My decision was based on Synology’s good reputation among experts and the very good support you offer, also for post-sale. In addition, German forum is maintained outstandingly.
The current DSM 3.2 Beta provides support to the newly-released Apple’s Mac OS X Lion has again convinced me that I have made the right decision.
I would like to thank you for that and let you know, the positive impression of my personal experience has lead to a purchase decision in vocational area. Keep it up!

I just wanted to rely how helpful a member of your staff was a few days ago. I had a failed upgrade to the latest firmware version on my DS508, and Matthew K. walked me through the recovery process. It required some technical king-fu on both of our sides, and I'm happy to say that my server is up and running again.

I don't tend to write lots of such messages, but now I simply have to.
I have bought my Synology DS108j years ago and I was very satisfied with the product. However this was nothing compared to the extended capabilities achieved by your continuous software updates even on this relatively older hardware. I'm extremely impressed by the new applications and the fact that you are making them available on past DiskStations as well.
Also, I'm planning to buy an extra NAS to my current flat as well and I'm completely sure it will be one of your solutions.

I bought a DS210j a couple of years ago, I was very happy enjoy the benefit of RAID1 for my data on the network.
But this week I updated to version 3.0! It's just wonderful! Incredibly easier. A real file explorer with direct access to my computer explorer tree!! I discovered with the new interface the power of DLNA coupled with XBMC on my media computer!
Background tasks now allow me to decompress 60GB file without bringing them back on my computer.
This update really changed my digital life entertainment!

I'm writing to say a big big "thank you" to the support on German forum. If there were an award for "The World's Best Forum" the moderators of your German forum would earn the prize! This was one of the reasons for purchasing a DiskStation. And I haven't regretted it at all.
As a normal computer user with no Linux experiences, I received individual help from German moderators who assisted me with installing Mail Station and other tools. In summary, the support is friendly, courteous, perfect, individual help in situations you would never imagine!
