Limitation & Known Issues

Limitation & Known Issues for all versions

  1. On all browsers, uploading single file without enabling Java is limited to 2GB for File Browser and File Station. This is due to browsers' limitation.
  2. USB Disk Limitation:
    • Mac OS 9 does not support FAT32.
    • The USB disk must be larger than 1GB.
  3. DSM's VPN client might not support connecting to all third-party VPN services. For better compatibility, DSM's VPN client should be connected to VPN servers hosted on Synology NAS.
