About This Package:

phpMyAdmin is a free software tool designed to manage the MySQL databases. This phpMyAdmin package is an add-on to Synology® DiskStation Manager 2.1-0803 or above. After installing this package, you will be able to run phpMyAdmin and manage the MySQL databases stored on your DiskStation.

You can also easily run, stop, or uninstall this package anytime by going to [System > Package Management] page of Synology DiskStation Manager 2.1 or above.

To Install the Package:

  1. Upgrade your Synology DiskStation to firmware versions: DSM 2.1-0803 or above.
  2. Download the phpMyAdmin package in .zip format.
  3. Unzip the file to have "phpMyAdmin-3.2.0.1-004.spk".
  4. Go to [System > Package Management] page of Synology DiskStation Manager 2.1 or above, and click Install button.
  5. Follow the Package Installation Wizard to install the package.

To Run the phpMyAdmin Service:

  1. Go to [System > Package Management] page, select the package and click Run button.
  2. Click the phpMyAdmin URL link, and enter the username/password on the pop-up window. The default username is "root", while the default password is empty (none).

To Stop the phpMyAdmin Service:

  1. Go to [System > Package Management] page, select the package and click Stop button.

To Uninstall the Package:

  1. Go to [System > Package Management] page of Synology DiskStation Manager 2.1 or above.
  2. Select the package, and click Uninstall button.
  3. Click Yes on the pop-up window.
